    What is NanoTagDNA?

NanoTagDNA are octagonal nickel tags ranging from 6-10 microns thick and 0.3mm to 0.5mm in size. They have a hologram-like appearance and display changes in colour under different viewing angles. Each tag is personalized with a unique Security Identification Code (SIC), which can be viewed with a 100x microscope. NanoTagDNA is shown in the image to the left.

Detection and Reading of NanoTags: NanoTags are embedded in adhesives that contain UV trace elements. A UV torch reveals the tag's location, and a microscope can then read the branding and SIC number.

Application Methods: There are five primary methods for applying NanoTags: brush, pen, wand, aerosol spray can, and security stickers. Each method is designed for different applications, from marking small personal items to larger surfaces like vehicles.

Security and Durability: NanoTags are highly secure, resistant to extreme temperatures (up to 1000°C), and can endure various environmental conditions without deterioration. The technology is protected by international patents and trade secrets.

  • How does the NanoTagDNA system benefit me?

Over 90% of people never record the serial numbers of valuable items in their home or office. As a result, police recover millions of dollars worth of stolen and lost property every year but are unable to trace the lawful owners. The NanoTag™ system allows you to conveniently replace the individual serial numbers on all your assets with a single number – your unique Security Identification Code (SIC).

The code is etched into each of the tags inside your personal NanoTag™ Wand. Once you mark your property with it, these NanoTags™ become the only “serial number” you present to police when property is stolen or lost. NanoTags™ are effectively your very own “fingerprint” on each of your assets.

Where should I apply the NanoTagDNA?

Always choose an area that is not immediately obvious and won’t interfere with the item’s appearance. When dried, the adhesive with NanoTags™ is transparent and almost invisible, however it is recommended to select cavities or places partially hidden from view for NanoTag™ application.

How much should I apply on each asset?

One or two clicks of the Wand (or twists, depending on the model) will produce enough adhesive and tags to mark each item. Always shake the Wand before clicking/twisting to ensure the tags are evenly dispersed throughout the adhesive prior to application. You may choose to mark each item several times on various parts of the item.

How many tags should appear in each application?

Applying at least FIVE tags per item is recommended, but even if one tag is found on the asset it can be traced back to you. Again, always shake Wand first to ensure even distribution of tags in the adhesive.
